We’re Moving!

To my clients:
First, I wanted to thank you for entrusting me with your case. Representing clients is both fulfilling and, at the same time, an awesome responsibility. I am writing you to let you know about some developments in my professional life.
I will be leaving the firm effective August 30 and opening the DeMott Law Firm, P.A. I will focus on my bankruptcy and litigation practice. Pete Wyckoff will continue with his real estate closing practice.
I have also hired a new bankruptcy paralegal, Vickie Poe. Vickie has worked for two bankruptcy firms in Ohio for the last ten years, and has relocated to the Charleston area because of her husband’s job. Both Vickie and her husband are Air Force Veterans, and her husband is working at the Charleston Air Force Base now. Laurie Tange will also continue to work for me as she continues her legal education at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. (As many of you know, Laurie is a virtual paralegal working from Michigan and now a first-year law student.) It is my hope that in three years Laurie will join me as a newly-minted attorney. I cannot say enough good things about Laurie and am proud of her completing her first semester of law school.
I will be moving right next door (the building between ours and Tidelands Bank) and will be sharing space with the Steinberg Law Firm, which, as many of you know, practices in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation, and disability law. Our address will be 1516 Trolley Road, Summerville.
The wrinkle in my plan is that the space next door will not be built out until October 1. Accordingly, for the month of September, I will be sharing space with my good friend and fellow Summerville attorney, Jimmy Reeves. Jimmy’s office is located at 400 N. Cedar Street in Summerville, just down N. Cedar from Mr. K’s Piggly Wiggly and not far from the intersection of Hwy. 78 and N. Cedar Street.
I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you. We will make sure to let you know where you will be meeting me for your appointments over the next few weeks.
