blog posts--charleston bankruptcy and bankruptcy law

Filing bankrutpcy is an important decision to make, and you want all the bankruptcy information you can get.  I’m a contributing author to Bankruptcy Law Network (“BLN”), a blog authored by about 30  bankruptcy attorneys from all over the country.  The site contains over 4000 blog posts, which can be searched by keyword on the site.  Each week, I do a new post for BLN.

To read my Bankruptcy Law Network posts, go to my author archive here.

You should also read posts by other authors.  One thing to keep in mind: authors are writing about bankruptcy law from their perspectives in their own districts.  Because the new bankruptcy law was so poorly drafted, courts interpret the Bankruptcy Code differently in different federal districts.  Courts have not been able to determine what Congress meant in various parts of the Code.  Keep this in mind when you read a blog post from an author in another part of the country.  While most of the posts are applicable here in South Carolina, many are not.

I hope you find this information useful and look forward to being able to help you with  your financial problems.  If you need help with your financial problems, please fill out the contact form below, and I’ll get back with you quickly.

  1. Retirement says:

Thankfully IRA’s/Pensions are protected. Look @ O.J. Simpson. I understand he gets approx
$350K per year from his pension which can not be touched. So, as the sun sets on everyone,
so too the protection laws apply to everyone. I feel that Social Security should not be taxed.
Think of what we have contributed to this country with our working 40+ years. I feel we should also get FREE medical and not have to pay parts A,B,C,D. Look at all the hand outs this country gives to ‘others’ in foreign lands and leaves us do gooders out to fend for ourselves.
The ‘good, bad & the ugly’.
